Borne Tyras Simmons on April 6,1965 in New Orleans, La. where he was raised as one of four siblings in the household with both parents until the age of fourteen. In protest of the separation of his parents, he began to act out by experimenting with alcohol and drugs. He also began a series of missteps which led to several arrests. At the age of 19 he tried to correct himself by attending Grambling State University for 2 years just to realise that changing location without changing behavior didn’t solve his problem. At age 24 he tried to right the ship again in his life and joined the United States Marine Corps and within one year of joining, he found himself in the Gulf War. Early on he found himself in a familiar situation when challenged by another troop, he responded violently since that’s what was normal to his personal experience. After the rough start, he eventually became a reliable resource during the actual war and received several awards and letters of appreciation even from foreign governments. It was during that time that the Lord began to deal with his heart after seeing lives devastated by war and upon seeing that he could actually contribute something to their lives by small acts of kindness.

In 1992 he got saved and sanctified himself from his old life with it’s old way of thinking. It wasn’t long before the Lord would use him to lead many of his fellow service members to Christ. By 1994 he became a Youth Pastor and for the next 8 years he found himself as a Street Evangelist, Men Fellowship Leader, Choir Member, Licensed Minister, Father, Husband, LLC Owner, and College Graduate. In 2006 post Hurricane Katrina he felt the burden of the people who were also dealing with devastation due to the enormous loss of everything that they valued, even their churches.
